The Judith Humphrey Shaw Undergraduate Award:

The Judith Humphrey Shaw award was established in 2016 in memory of Judith Humphrey Shaw, a member of the Helminthological Society of Washington from 1949 until her death in 2015 and worked for 37 years in the United States Department of Agriculture on the Index-Catalogue of Medical and Veterinary Zoology. The award is in honor of Judith's sustained and generous support of student research in parasitology. The award is given in recognition of an outstanding presentation given by an undergraduate student at the Helminthological Society of Washington Spring Meetings. The prize is typically $100.

Congratulations to The 2023 Judith Humphrey Shaw Award winners! Evan Morgan and Natalie Harper (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) received this award for their talk “Is the grass always greener on the other side: interactions between disease spread and nutrient supply in tall fescue”.
