Fall Meeting 2017
Please join us for the 718th meeting of the Helminthological Society of Washington, our Anniversary Award Dinner, on Saturday, November 18 at the Fisherman's Inn on Kent Island, MD. This is a great seafood restaurant just over the Kent Narrows bridge in Grasonville, MD.
The Executive Committee meeting will be from 2:30-4:00pm followed by the regular meeting at 4:00pm with "lightning talks" and conversation until dinner at 6:00pm, with the Anniversary Award presentation to follow.
Registration details will follow but please mark your calendar and plan to join us.
The Helminthological Society of Washington is pleased to incorporate Lightning Talks into our annual fall meeting this year. These talks are designed to give researchers, especially students, a sounding board to highlight their current research, and to receive feedback from society members on the spot. The research presented in these talks need not be complete; in fact, this is the perfect venue to present preliminary research/plans in front of a supportive group. The Helminthological Society of Washington welcomes research in any parasitological discipline, so whether you are working on worms, parasitic protozoa, vectors, etc., we want to hear from you! The talks should be 5-minutes in length (maximum) and can incorporate visual aids, such as power point slides. There are a limited number of slots available, so if you are interested, please email your title and name to Anne Vardo-Zalik (amv12 AT psu DOT edu) ASAP to reserve your spot.
Deadline: submissions should be submitted by 5pm on November 10, 2017.
